Okay, you know how there's that video of a shark being killed by an octopus and how it's pretty awesome? So awesome. Well, now there's a new completely unbelievable-until-you-see-it video. This comes from National Geographic via Hulu. This little video details how a little spider can defeat a bat. A freaking bloodsucking bat! WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD. First I was afraid to swim in the ocean because the octopi would be attacking me and dragging me down into the abyss. Now I'm afraid to run through the forest because of the damn webs I might get caught in...

Idol Gives Back (With Extra Cheese) **UPDATED**
I just finished up watching American Idol's big Idol Gives Back donation extravaganza. It was two and a half hours long. I fully appreciate all the great things that IGB will do with the money that they raise. It's extraordinary really. From AIDS in Africa to illiteracy here in the United States.
My only complaint is that they insist on being as sappy and cheesy as possible. The final number with the 8 finalists, all dressed in white, swaying back and forth with a full choir behind them? COME ON. Don't get me wrong, there were some amazing and heartfelt moments during the show, like Bono in Africa visiting children with AIDS, Daughtry in Uganda, Miley and Billy Ray Cyrus in financially devastated areas of the US. Those were some really touching portions of the show. Show the giving public where this money is needed for Pete's sake.
I'll try to get some videos up of the various performances as I find them. If you saw Miley Cyrus's towards the end though, CRIPES! She was pretty slutty up there. Scratch that, she was REAL slutty. How old is that girl? I couldn't imagine seeing my daughter get down on her knees like that on stage in front of millions of people. Billy's probably off in the green room crying and asking himself how he could have signed her soul over to Disney/Satan.
In the meantime, here's Brad Pitt doing his thing for AI. WARNING: The video has bad audio and sounds like the noise that movies always have for giant bugs crawling.
UPDATE
Here's Fergie Ferg singing Barracuda with Heart. I don't really know why she had to be in this number, I'm pretty sure that Heart can handle it. I mean, they are Heart.
Here's Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher singing Carrie Underwood's Before He Cheats. Yeah, you read that right. It's actually much less terrifying than it seems.
Also, here's Mily Cyrus rolling around on stage like a whore last night. Is anyone else freaked out by her creepy deep voice?
And finally, here's Mariah Carey looking amazing! What the hell did she do to get that skinny? Did she have ribs taken out?

NBC COMEDY NIGHT DONE RIGHT!
As I'm sure you are well aware (or at least should be), tomorrow is the return of Thursday night comedies on NBC. My Name is Earl (which came back last week), 30 Rock, The Office, and Scrubs! Now that the writers strike is long forgotten, everyone can return to their happy places to entertain me!
It starts tomorrow at 8:00 PM on NBC and I hope everyone is sufficiently caught up with the epi's that aired before the strike began. If not, HULU has you covered! In the meantime, here's the last episodes of The Office and of 30 Rock.

Video Game Muzacs
You know how when you play an old NES, SNES, or Genesis games the music was usually pretty awesome. Those seem to be the most memorable songs from video games. I mean who doesn't catch themselves singing the Mario theme song every now and again.
Well, there are two things that make those songs better. One is an orchestrated version of one of your favorite video game songs. The second is an a cappella version.
Mega Man 3 is a great game and features great music. Vocaloid has gone and made it even better though...

That was Fierce
I will never get over models/designers/randoms falling through a runway. It just makes me feel better that people that are more attractive than me still make asses of themselves in front of hundreds of people. Gawker posted up this little diddy of some boutique owner going right through the stage. PRICELESS. It reminds me of this one.

My Movie Rotation
Since I haven't been working for the last month (+), I've watched a lot of movies. And by "a lot" I mean I've watched Gremlins 2: The New Batch close to 6 or 7 times. It's always on HBO Family, I can't help it.
It reminds me of when I was younger because a childhood friend of mine and I would rent the movie when I would be over at his house, watch it, then pretend we were one of the gremlins and run around his back yard like idiots. It was awesome. I remember having really in depth convos over who was going to be which gremlin. I'm pretty sure it all boiled down to always being either the "bat" gremlin or Mohawk after he drank the spider DNA potion.
It also reminds me of how much I love movie theme songs in general. The Gremlins Theme song. Used that immediately as my ringtone. Anyway, just thought I'd share that.

Just a Note
A little notification. As you can see, I Matt My Pants has undergone some changes. These are ongoing. I'm gonna be messing around with the layout and design for a bit until I finally settle on something I like. Don't be afraid to let me know what you think either.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl takes up my time
As you can see to the left, I play video games. A lot of them. They are fun, so don't judge. Recently, most of my non-reality show and movie watching time is taken up by Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Yeah, it's pretty awesome as far as things that I think are cool go. The opening for the game is below.

Hulu for ALL!
For those busy people out there that can't take time out of their day to watch TV (shame on you), FOX and NBC have come up with a solution for you. Now I know that all the major network work their website all up to play episodes of their shows. LAME. Yeah, real lame. Boycott that crap. Instead, go to what FOX and NBC teamed up to create. Hulu.
If after watching that little video hasn't made you check it out, then you are missing out on one of the greatest websites since Youtube. I highly recommend that you use it and learn to love it because it's going to be big!
Finally, I leave you with one of my favorite things to happen over the weekend. Laser Cats.

Speaking of The Hills... I hate myself
Ugh, I am so embarrassed to admit this, but I am incredibly addicted to The Hills. For two reasons actually. The first that I actually enjoy myself when watching, and secondly that these "people" think that their lives are so much more interesting than they actually are. Can you even imagine watching what Lauren, Heidi, and crew would be doing if it weren't for MTV doctoring up and editing them to be backstabbing, shallow, partying, soulless, TV whores? Probably just as interesting as your own meaningless life. (Thank you MTV)
For those of you that do watch it, can you answer me this question? Why is Audrina so ugly? She looks like some kind of animal, possibly a bird, but I can't quite put my finger on it. 10 Internet points to the person who best describes her with an animal.

I Can Hear You: Kesha
Okay, this post has 2 points. One is that there is one thing MTV is doing right with music. Of course they aren't playing music videos, I mean why would Music Television do that? BUT, during their original programing (ex: The Hills), if you hear a song that you like or sparks your interest in any way, you can hop on over to MTV.com and click on the show you heard it on.
In the sidebar along the left you can choose "Songs From The Show" (in the pink circle in the above pic) and it lists every song played during the show and a little snippet of what was going on when that song was heard! It's such a simple aspect, but cripes! Why did it take so long for this to happen!?
Secondly, because of the show, I found my new favorite pop/dance singer. Her name is Kesha and you can listen to some of her songs at her myspace page Keshaishot. The first song that plays on her page is the song from the show. Definitely check her out.

I Love Celebreality
As I said before, I've got a really unhealthy obsession right now with any reality show that MTV and VH1 can produce. I just finished watching the newest episode of Flavor of Love 3, the one where the house of ho's teams up on Hotlanta and she tells Flav that he's not man enough for her. The one where he saves her clock for last, then calls her down and hands her the clock and tells her to go home. Yeah, that awesome epi.
After watching though, I couldn't stop laughing at how absolutely disgusting Flavor Flav is. There are bunch of a ratty ass women actually fighting over his affection. I mean my God, look at that busted mug!
The only thing that's a grossly worse than this is what VH1 does to milk more viewers online. Not only do they highlight some of the least interesting parts of the epi, they bring in some of the most annoying ex-celebreality show stars to give their two cents. Words can't describe how brain dead these people are. Watch for yourself.

Welp, guess what's back.
Yeah, as you can see from the archives along the left there, is that I've been gone for a while. Like since October. I'd like to blame it on my old job taking up most (read: all) of my time. But what can you do? That job was great fun and I'm so lucky to have had the experience, but that is now over and I've been NOT working for about a month and a half now. Boy how the time flies...
What have been doing this whole time you ask? That's an easy answer. Watching really bad MTV reality shows. That's it. Well, that and playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl on my lovely Wii. Anyone who has the game and wants to play me online my friend code is 0001-2997-1304. Leave yours in the comments.
Other than that, hope you're all doing fan-freaking-tastic.
