January 8th. That's all the longer that we have to wait until 30 Rock returns to television. It kind of seems like forever and a day a way, but I guess it's really only a little over a week.
I think that I can last that long. Until then though, E! Online has gotten a hold of some pretty sweet previews up some of the upcoming episodes - including a scene with Salma Hayek which you can watch below.
This next one, is actually my favorite of the lot. We see just how far Liz's baby craze has pushed her. I couldn't stop laughing!

Reliving Sadness... Pushing Daisies Season One
I, unfortunately, never watched the first season and really only got caught up in the magic that the show was until this season. Needless to say, I'm team pumped about jumping into the first season to see where it all began. Just thinking about it has me excited - and sad that the show got canceled.
Thanks all of you out there that refused to watch the show. jerks

Rock of Love Charm School: Reunion Sneak Peek
I'm gonna be honest. I kind of love the Charm School series. Watching a bunch of trash-nasties bicker, bitch, and brawl each week never gets old to me. I especially like it because there are the select few that you can tell are really trying to make a difference in their lives (Brandi M, Heather, etc.) and then there are the obvious ones that just don't give a shit and are trying to win the $100,000 (Megan, Lacey). They'll stop at nothing to "play the game" and are the epitome of whores. LOVE IT.
Well, Vh1 has been kind enough to give us a tiny sneak peek at the upcoming Reunion Show that airs on Sunday night. It's just a small taste with Angelique and her creepy muppet lips and balloon boobs. But, we get to see just how trashy some of the other ones look.
Does Megan wear anything else other than bikinis? Yeah she's got a hot body, but come on - that's one of the most busted baby faces I've ever seen. It's like her face is experiencing a curious case of Benjamin Button. AGE THE RIGHT WAY!
Also, Heather is by far my personal favorite. And she looks kind of demure - for a post-hooker.

One You Didn't Watch: Momma's Boys
I don't really watch the show Momma's Boys on NBC. It kind of looks all sorts of terrible. I mean, from the previews, most of the girls looked like walking boob jobs and I'm pretty sure that the one mother may or may not be part of the KKK (don't quote me on that one).
Buuuuuuut... that doesn't mean I won't watch it. Especially when there are clips from the show like this.
So, apparently the girls find out if they're eliminate through a txt msg. Yikes. I know that reality shows are often time scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to quality, but cripes! That's kind of cold. And hilarious. Colarious. That sounds like an STD. Is that ironic?
Just watch the clip.
SPOILER: I don't think she got a date.

The City: Episode 1 & 2
So, as expected, I watched the premiere of MTV's soon-to-be-hit (at least when it comes to MTV standards), The City last night. Yes, The Hills spin off series that follows everyone's favorite clothes rack mobility producer, Whitney Port, as she attempts to "make it" in The Big Apple.
The first two episodes aired last night and, of course, I watched with bated breath. What would become of my favorite small-talker? Would she have someone to ask how their weekend went? Would she be able push a rack of clothes down a busy Manhattan street? Would she be subject to really dull happenings that MTV has to somehow spin into something interesting? Will that chick that we're supposed to believe is her nemesis really be all that annoying? And most importantly, will we ever see the Grouchy Gertrude of a woman, Kelly Cutrone again?
In a complete twist of events, MTV seems to have actually put some effort into the mix and though not every one of those questions ends up with a solid "yes," the overall product that is The City completely beat my expectations of what it was going to be like - and in a good way! And it might have everything to do with how much more endearing and interesting Whitney is that her parent show counterpart Lauren Conrad.

The City: The Truth Will Reveal Itself
Season 1, Episode 2
So, in some weird and confusing way, I was actually quite entertained with The City last night. And not even in the this-show-is-so-annoying-I-can't-stop-watching-it sort of way. Like the I'm-really-digging-where-this-show-is-taking-me sort of way. WTF?! There were even a couple of points where I caught myself smiling at my television like a doofus as if I was watching The Puppy Bowl or something.
The worst part about the whole viewing is, I'm not even sure why I enjoyed it so much. It might have had a lot to do with the fact that I inhaled a pretty massive amount of fumes from the spray painting I was doing earlier (it's for a late Christmas present. Shut up. I'm a cheapskate). But, in reality, it was probably more from the fact that Whitney is kind of a real person who's fairly likable and also because (in my eyes) New York is a much more real place than LA will ever be. Plus, Whitney's roommate is one of the best characters on television and reminds me of someone I used to work with!
I'll try to break this down as concise as possible simply because I'm embarrassed I liked the show so much.
1.) Whitney Port seems like a genuinely nice person.
You know how when you're watching The Hills and though it's all about Lauren you kinda don't really like her. I mean, you don't really like anyone on the show obvs, but because the main character is Lauren you feel like you're supposed to think she's the one that's being hurt when a fight breaks out amongst the girls but really you kind of think it's all her fault?
Well, I don't get that vibe from Whitney at all. She just always seems like she's happy, even though she's in a really awkward situation with a guy, or girl, or whatever. It might be because she's so aloof of the situation that nothing registers, but whatevs.
You do get to see another side of Whitney that you never witnessed during her previous show. When she visits Kelly Cutrone (YES!) towards the end of the second eppy, she seems pretty vulnerable and even mentions that she feels all alone even with all the people around her. Guh, I can't believe I typed that.
2.) New York is better than LA.
Let me preface this with the fact that I've never been to LA. Never once. But I've spent quite an extensive amount of time in NYC to understand the lifestyle there and let me tell you, no amount of good weather can persuade me to believe that LA has anything better to offer than New York. There's just something about walking downa busy sidewalk in Manhattan while the world passes you by (and is not giving a sh*t that you're having this realization) that just gets me. Even when someone pushes me because I'm walking too slow for their preference. Everything just seems more exciting in New York anyway.
3.) Olivia is more of a villain that Heidi (or Kristin Cavallari for that matter) could ever hope to be.
Olivia Palermaas.sggs3350ao or whatever it is (did anyone else notice Whitney never seemed to know what it was) seems to be making her way as MTV's best villain. We haven't seen much of her yet, but we already know exactly what she's like. A rich (because of parents) social (not socialite - ugh), that doesn't really need a job but got one because she thinks she can, who doesn't like anyone else from a (perceived) lower class.
Plus, MTV edited in more shots of her looking pissed/not enjoying herself/disgruntled on that pointed little face of hers that I don't know how she couldn't turn out to be rotten.
--------------------
So cheers to you MTV for creating a poor excuse for a television show about people I don't give to sh*ts about that actually makes me want to watch it for reasons other than the fact of making fun of it.
4.) Whitney's roommate Erin is my favorite person ever.
I once worked on a show with a girl who reminds me so much of Erin that it's kind of creepy. Yeah, I know that I've only seen two episodes and she's barely been in either of them, but I form judgments quickly and shallowly, so deal. What does Erin even do? Does she have a job? Or does she just live in Gramercy in some swanky little apartment and go out on dates and parties?
Either way, she seems to be the one to watch on this show. I'm really hoping that MTV just starts a new show with Erin and ends The Hills. Those tired hos seem bored turning their tricks anyway. ERIN FTW!

ShamWow is ShamWorst
I know you've all seen the ShamWow commercial. And if you're anything like me, you just want to reach inside your television and rip that stupid little side mic off of Vince's face before you yell at him for trying selling you a towel/shammy/sponge.
Well, Vince is back! It's the same commercial, now complete with a terrible Spanish voice over. Gotta hit up the minority demo!
I just don't understand how people can watch this and think "MUST HAVE." If it was something that actually worked, then why on earth would it be in the one of the jankiest looking infomercials ever made? Also, has anyone else noticed that during the part where he "soaks up" all the cola in and underneath the carpet - that there isn't a giant puddle of cola under the sample like there was when he originally poured it on? FAKE! EDITING! SHAMWOW? MORE LIKE SCAMWOW!
Apparently though, this thing sold like hotcakes over Christmas. Ugh. Thank George Foreman I didn't get one. Or a Slanket. Or it's broke ass cousin, the Snuggie.

So, What'd You Get?

Now that Christmas is behind us, I can return to my regular posting schedg. Between traveling to families homes, family coming to mine, and just the massive amount of eating I did over the last week, it was nearly impossible to get to a computer. Ugh... just thinking about it makes me tired all over again.
But, I'm back now. I know, I know, as if you knew I was gone... Regardless, I'll be posting again. I did have a few chances to check any TV news I could find on a couple of occasions this last week and it didn't look like I missed too much - so that's a plus. And since there was literally NOTHING on television the last week (unless you're that into Christmas specials), nothing was missed on the viewing front.
--------
Now the real question is, WHAT DID YOU GET FOR CHRISTMAS, HANUKKAH, ETC?! Anything exciting or just the yoozh of socks and underwear?
I actually received nothing pertaining to television. I guess, looking back, I didn't really ask for anything of the ilk, but whatevs.
My favorite thing I got? Slippers. Yeah. I'm an old man. I'm okay with that.
My favorite thing I've yet to receive? My parents are getting me a new lappy! I just have to pick one out that's reasonable. My current one is soooo on it's last leg. Scratch that. It's not even on it's last leg anymore. It's pulling itself along with a small, deformed arm and a few rotting teeth. The screen doesn't work (it's hooked up to an external monitor that makes everything blurry), there's keys missing (I have to press the little nipple thing to type), and the battery is worthless (if I unplug it - it dies automatically dies).
Anything TV related on your guys' end? DVD Box sets of your fave shows? A new HDTV? DVR or Tivo? Let me know in the comments!

Gossip Girl Makes Me Happy
Here's a promo commercial for the upcoming return of Gossip Girl on Monday, January 5th. The CW launched this commercial this week and it really makes me realize how much I miss this show already.
It is really good people. And not just in that teen drama sort of way. Like, it's one of the better shows on television. No lie. I also have to admit that The CW really knows how to make a commercial. This promo, plus some of the other ones they've made this season are phenomenal and really hit their target audience.
Basically, if you haven't noticed, I can't wait for 8 p.m. on January 5th.

The Hills: Mr. And Mrs. Pratt

So, Spencer and Heidi get married in this episode. It's suuuuuuuuper lame. Like you don't even see the "wedding." The only thing you do see is some poor Production Assistant that had to hold "Spencer's camera" while they walked down some stairs supposedly after the wedding took place.
Also, Whitney went got the job in New York. Whoopie. Can The City just start already so they can quit beating it into our brains that it's coming. I KNOW ALREADY!
Hit up the jump for the full episode. Awesome.
The Hills: Mr. and Mrs. Pratt
Season 4 | Episode 19
This coming Monday is the season finale and I've never been more excited for a show to end a season. At the same time, if The City doesn't fill the annoying gap that I'll feel once The Hills is off the air, I don't know what I'm going to be forced to watch to make up for it.
Anyone got any suggestions? As much as I love Whitney, I'm really doubting what she's got up her sleeves - other than a clothes rack.

- One of my favorite Friday things, the Close to Zero List: EBAY/Paypal edition. [Pophangover]
- Kristin Chenoweth won't be off television for too long now that Daisies is gone. She's set to costar in David E. Kelley's new legal drama for NBC. [TV Guide]
- MTV is prepping 16 new reality shows. Yes. 16. Six. Teen. And I'm going to go out on a very hefty limb and say none have anything to do with music. [Variety]
- Paris Hilton got robbed. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. [Zap2It]
- CNN got rid of their (in)famous news crawl and replaced it with comments, twitters, and facebook messages from regular people. So basically, it's now got an idiotic comments board for it's on shows. Ugh. [TV Squad]

What Demo is Kay After?!
So, as I was watching The Today show this morning, the above commercial for Kay Jewelers came on that I had definitely seen before, but didn't really notice how absurd it was until now.
The commercial features a man pulling his wife/girlfriend/sister out of what seems to be a hopping family Christmas celebration and sits her down by their a-little-too-perfect-for-reality Christmas tree in order to give her a present. It's only then that we realize the slowness and over enunciation in his voice (well, and the sign language), that his wife/girlfriend/sister/second cousin is deaf. The commercial ends with a typical cheesy ending but with a deaf woman twist. She mouths the words "read my lips" and then kisses him. Quaint.
My immediate two thoughts after watching this commercial the most recent time was, why was he talking to her when he was using sign language? Is it something that you're supposed to do when signing to a person who's deaf? I just thought sign language was enough. I mean, why do more work than you have to?
My second thought, and the much more important one of the two, was who in the HELL is Kay Jewelers trying to target with this ad? I didn't know that the deaf population was such a sought after market that an entire Christmas ad campaign would be devoted to trying to win that share of the market. Is the deaf jewelery wearing demographic even that big that a national television ad would be created just for them? What about the blind? The para- and quadriplegic? The people allergic to water?
In no way do I have something against deaf people or those that are hard of hearing or people with any disabilities for that matter. I just find the commercial entirely random and almost a bit ridiculous that they would have to use the idea of someone being deaf to showcase a cute moment to sell their jewelry.

The Office: The Outburst Part 4
Since there was nothing new on last night that I actually wanted to watch, I spent my time playing video games and watching stuff online. You know, the yoozh. Anyway, I had completely forgotten about the webisodes that The Office had been doing. So, I headed on over to NBC to find out just what it was that Oscar had his outburst over. I mean, he was gonna have to tell everyone eventually right?!
Well, he did. And lets just say, the results were a bit surprising to everyone.
Poor Oscar can just never catch a break. I think the only time anything nice has ever happened to him was when Andy tried to set him up with the dudes from the hotel bar in Canada - and even then it was supremely awkward. Here's hoping that in 2009, things start looking up for Oscar. A new bf maybe?

What a Friend Indeed
Flight of the Concords has returned! I know this news is old already but I feel that everyone in the world should know about this show. Yeah, it's that good. Obviously the style and humor involved might not be your cup of tee - which basically means you don't have the right sense of humor nor do you like good television. So change.
Anyway, here's the first episode off of there upcoming second season that takes place right where the first season left off.
I don't think it was quite as funny as some of their episodes last year, but it's definitely great to have my three favorite New Zealanders and their biggest fan back at it. The final song though, is AMAZING! Oh this show makes me happy. This should most likely be the funniest thing that you will see all day, possibly all week if you lead a dull existence though.
Enjoy!

Real Chance of Love, REALLY?
So yesterday I watched a few episodes of Real Chance of Love while at my Gma's house (no she didn't watch it with me, she wasn't there) and I have to say, as much as I love my VH1 trampy, true-love-finding reality series, this show has really taken it to a new low. When you're a spin-off of a spin-off, you know its bad. And when I say bad, I don't mean network television bad. VH1 shows are an entirely different breed of television. There best is usually around FOX's worst - yet for some reason more enjoyable to watch.
Below is the most recent episode from the show where the three remaining girls for each brother is brought to a ranch to meet their parents. Backstabbing ensues.
I just want to touch on the last six girls and give my thoughts on each of them after watching this episode. Keep in mind, I haven't kept up with the show beyond the second, possibly third, episode. So all these judgments are being passed after what happened on the ranch episode.
Real's Girls:
Corn Fed: She gives a bad name to all girls from the Midwest. She's gross. Like real gross. Anyone with skunk hair and orange skin should be taken out back and disposed of. WHO THINKS THIS LOOK IS ATTRACTIVE!? I'd rather date a girl with a bald spot and gimp leg.
Bay Bay Bay: Man face.
Milf: I think she might be the on girl of Real's that I actually like? Kind of? No? Her busted up weave creeps me out though. Playboy? Softcore? I'm over it.
Chance's Girls:
Cali: GAH! I hate her! There's something about how she talks that just exudes stupidity and I can't take it. She's also kinda fug.
Risky: I don't have words for that.
Rabbit: By far, one of the most attractive girls to be on any of these shows. She also seems pretty nice. I think she should win. And by win I mean not be with those two dickballs.
Also, the ending?! I really hope Milf clubbed Risky. That would make my life.

ICE STORM A COMIN'
Well, I did some Christmas shopping today. I would rather eat nails than go shopping during the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. People are even more crazy than normal - which doesn't bode well for me considering I hate large crowds. Not that I'm afraid of them, just that I think they suck.
Anyway, apparently my part of the country (specifically Ohio) is about to get nailed with a freezing rain/ice storm. What is the difference between freezing rain and ice? I don't know but apparently its something.
Hopefully it's not anything too serious because the last time we had a severe ice storm, we ended up losing power for about a week. Fun times... I'm hoping that this isn't quite as bad as that time. But if for some reason I don't post at all tomorrow, you know what happened to me.

Is The Kelly Taylor Beat Down Coming?!
So, I know that the new 90210 is pretty much supposed to be about all these new kids and there exciting lives, but it takes Shannen Doherty to get people to watch.
Unfortunately, up until this point, there really hasn't been any major Kelly and Brenda drama. Sure they had their dumb little disagreements here and there, but nothing very serious. That was, until like 2 or 3 weeks ago when Brenda let it fly that she'd done the deed with Kelly's kind of boyfriend Ryan. Sadly, there was no real "fight" over that because Brenda was in the hospital for some reason. LAME!
Well, it looks like now we are finally on our way to what could be a good cat fight. Kristin Dos Santos of E! Online brings us a sneak peak at the first new episode of the New Year airing on January 6th. Who's excited!?

Best of Best Year Ever!
Did you miss Best Year Ever? Have you continually missed it on VH1 (which has been replaying it every single day since?) Just don't have a measly hour of your day to devote to such meaningless drivel? Now you're just being hateful. Stop it.
Your in luck anyway, (jerk) because Shea Hess has done the unthinkable! Condensed the best parts of Best Year Ever into a 2:30 clip of awesomeness. So sit back, eat your Coco Puffs and enjoy!

Thursday, My Favorite Day
First off, sorry about yesterday. I guess I took a personal day? I had a ton of stuff to do and errands to run so I just decided to make sure everything got done on that front. Making matters worse, I chose to do it on the worst driving day of the year. Pretty much every road outside is an icy mess. It's awful and hasn't gotten any better.
And topping it all off, I missed Pushing Daisies last night! Not that it's a huge deal, I can always watch it online, but still! I'm gonna miss that damn show.
Back to the title of this post. Thursday's have become my favorite days of the week. Even though tonight is a bad example as NBC is playing repeats of all it's shows. I always find myself looking forward to Thursdays and what my favorite comedies will up to for the day. Plus, it's like the day before the start of the weekend. I guess it's just something stupid I do to keep myself going through the week. When you think of it that way, it's kind of like a retarted four day weekend! WIN!
So, without further ado, our regularly scheduled posts.

Best Night Ever
The weather got you down and out? Snow and/or ice (depending where you are in the country) got you wishing you didn't have to go to work today. Wish you could just stay inside all day and watch TV or random videos on YouTube?
Well, why don't you start your day off right with at least one internet video. Max Silvestri from Best Week Ever has the most awesome parts of last night's TV shows including The Real Housewives of Orange County and Bad Girls Club - two very refined and classy shows! Be safe out there today!

Chuck: Chuck Versus Santa Claus

What was supposed to be a great Christmas for Chuck, turned into anything but. Christmas Eve at the Buy More, prepping for the massive sales day early in the morning became a hostage situation with a crazy that didn't really want to hurt anyone, just to be with his family. This, unfortunately, also lead to one of the FULCRUM Agents trying to obtain any information on Bryce Larkin and the intersect that they can.
So have a holly jolly Christmas with Big Mike as Santa Claus and all his merry little elves. Anna is one hot elf.
Hit up the jump for the full eppy
Chuck: Chuck Versus Santa Claus
Season 2 | Episode 11
The single best part of this entire episode was that Carl Otis Winslow played a cop and cousin to Big Mike. Towards the end of the episode, when the hostage situation is over and each of the employees is hugging and kissing loved ones, Big Mike and his cousin get the slow-mo part (which is becoming more and more hilarious each episode) where they run towards each other.
The incredibly sad part of this episode is what Chuck witnessed in the tree farm. When Sarah shot the FULCRUM agent instead of arresting him, Chuck was pretty much horrified. Granted he saw everything out of context and she was doing it to make sure Chuck was completely protected and not because she's some cracked-out, cold-blooded murder (though she'd be a bangin serial killer).
It was an interesting little twist that I didn't really see coming. It makes sense though, considering that Chuck and Sarah kind of were in a position to possibly, maybe get back together. Something obviously had to interfere.
Wait, now that I'm thinking about the episode, there's a sadder part. When Morgan sees Anna kissing Lester. Sure, Lester was just being kind of a molester and it too was taken out of context, it was still hurt my heart a little to see little Morgan so sad.
I was watching this episode with my G-ma (who's never once seen an episode, nor heard anything about the show) and she really enjoyed it a lot. She was laughing more than I was. Though, she was a bit unhappy with the ending of the episode. When it went to credits, she turned to me and goes, "Was that the end? That was stupid." Best.Grandma.Ever.

The Price is Right HISTORY Was Made Today
The Price is Right is probably my favorite game show on television. Or ever was on television. Well, Press Your Luck might be my fav of all time. I just love those Whammys! Anyway, today on TPIR, a contestant won both showcases. T'cha you say? That happens all the time? Well, what if I tell you that he won both showcases... by guessing the EXACT price of his showcase right down to the dollar!?
Welp, that's exactly what happened. I think my favorite part was the fact that the woman with the bad teeth he was bidding against guessed her showcase to within $500 and I bet, deep down inside, she thought she was going to win. But no...
EPIC FAIL!
The worst part? How nonchalant Drew Carey was. When I watch him host the show, I feel like he hates his job. He just kinda moves from place to place and delivers his lines like a kid in student film.
But back on topic, thankfully, for those that missed it, BEST WEEK EVER has video of the MIRACULOUS moment. I have a cousin that is kind of in love with this show. She's gonna die.

Heroes: Dual

So the Villains arc of Heroes came to a close last night and I will say that it was a great ending cap to the somewhat lackluster season. I thought that the dealt with a lot of the problems that people had been complaining about and resolved some issues that were still hanging around, plus set things up quite nicely for the second half of season three, FUGITIVES!
So, to watch what all went down during the last episode of 2008 and read more on why this episode was awesome, click "recraps away" down below.
Heroes: Dual
Season 3 | Episode 13
As I said above, a lot of complaints seemed to be remedied through the course of this episode. Sure some of it was dealt with rather quickly, but I'm all for that then dragging stuff out like Heroes has been known to do in the past.
Too many characters and their stories you say? Welp, not anymore. I think more characters died in this episode than in any previous one. And one of them was one of the biggest characters of the series (if he is really dead). All those side villains, that stupid, marine character they gave powers to last week, Claire's bio-mom Meredith (sad face), and possibly Sylar did not make it out of the bloodbath. The writers were not afraid to trim whatever fat they needed to to slim the cast way back down to first season numbers. Who made it out you ask? Well...
::CAUTION - SPOILERS - CAUTION::
Claire: Now not afraid of much and with a serious attitude.
HRG: Same old, same old. He's willing to do whatever it takes (even sacrificing those he deems not worthy) to protect Claire.
Nathan: Though his plans to give people powers were stopped, he's now informed the President of all these "dangerous" people out there and sets plans in motion to bring them all in.
Peter: Sure he stopped Nathan without his powers, but he had to get them back to save the himself and his brother. I'm assuming that he's back at square one now - only having his own ability and his brother's flying power.
Tracy: Fired by Nathan even after she saved his life, she's probably got a vendetta. She's also power hungry and very intelligent (my kinda lady!). Wonder what she's got up her sleeve.
Mohinder: It finally seems like the end of Mohinder Alien Queen Fly. And boy was I ready for that to end. Now that he's cured, and was picked up by Tracy at the very end, will he be helping her out to start up the formula again? Will he try to patch things up with Maya?
Hiro: No longer 10 years old in his head, but still without powers since Arthur Petrelli took them. He was able to successfully destroy the only known copy of the formula that he failed to protect earlier. I'm hoping he stops being a loser.
Ando: HE HAS A POWER! Granted, it's more of an assisting type power, but it's awesome nonetheless. Ando can now supercharge other peoples powers. Ex: Making Daphne run faster to the point of going back in time. Quite possibly the coolest power in the show.
Daphne: She made up for her past errors and wrong doings by saving Hiro and helping him obtain and destroy the formula. Hopefully, now she'll feel like she truly is a "good guy."
Matt Parkman: He didn't really do too much in the final episode other than cheer everyone else on. Him and Daphne might get together?
And finally...
Angela Petrelli: It was looking kind of scary there for a few moments, but she made it out of the facility alive, unkilled by Sylar. She's such a good character I can't even stand it. So much goes on in her mind... I LOVE IT! She finally revealed that she knows exactly who Sylar's real parents are (which basically means Sylar isn't dead yet) so it seems we will be finding out just who that is sometime in the future.
Other randoms: HRG and Claire's family must still be alive even though nothing was mentioned of them. MR. MUGGLES! I'm assuming the Haitian is still alive, though he wasn't even remotely in this last episode. Maya's still alive right? Will she be back? In the preview for next year's Fugitives, we saw a picture of Micah. Wonder if he'll return. Also, little Molly! She would be a big help in rounding up all the people with powers. Will they try to utilize her?
Season 3.5 - Fugitives.
What a setup! I'm so pumped for the upcoming finishing arc of season three now - even though I've read a little bit about it. Nathan has informed the president of the small group of people in the world that posses superhuman abilities that pose a threat to the rest of the world. He wants to capture them and put them away somewhere so that they can't endanger anyone else. Does he mention to the pres that he's one of those people?! It doesn't appear that he does...
Also, if rumors are to be believed, there will be another cropping of the characters. A possible plane crash could leave some dead and the rest on the run from a new character known as "The Hunter." Heroes working together to fend off those that are trying to destroy them?! I'M THERE!

Oh Two and a Half Men. Heroes! Ugh, The Hills. Well, if you missed any of those shows, don't you worry your little nose off. What? Brian Faas from Best Week Ever has the gosh darn best moments from each for your enjoyment. You can rest assured that nothing was left unwatched. Not even the unfunniest moment of Two and a Half Men, the most convoluted part of Heroes, or the most painfully fake and scripted lines of The Hills. Just so you didn't have to.

BLAIR WALDORF GETTING MARRIED?!

Okay, well not Blair the character, but her real-person counterpart Leighton Meester. Yeah, that was kind of a dick headline and I apologize. But whatevs.
Anyway, there are rumors swirling around the internet that Gossip Girl star, Leighton Meester, is engaged to her bf. This rumors were started by Page Six and are apparently sourced from her "secret facebook page." WTF? Come on Page Six, you're gonna have to do better than that.
Luckily, US Weekly has come to my rescue and called the rumors bunk.
Why am I so concerned about this "story" outside of my deep love of the show? Because I'm pretty sure that I want to marry Leighton Meester. Or Blair Waldorf. Or both? Sure Blair is a huge megab*tch and I've never met Leighton Meester before, but that doesn't mean we can't work something out? I can pretend to be Chuck Bass if she wants...

Heidi and Spencer's Wedding: The Day After
If this isn't enough to make you gag a little in your mouth, then you must not have a gag reflex. Here's the day after the epic wedding of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, or as the rest of the world knows them - tw*twaffles. I love that they got married the same way most college students usually hookup - WASTED. This means that Heidi has one heck of a walk-of-shame coming up. I hope it's off of a cliff.
The season finale of The Hills airs tonight at 10 p.m. on MTV, which also features the genius transition of Whitney from The Hills to The City. I cannot WAIT for that crap to start!

Tom Cruise on Today
On The Today Show this morning, Tom Cruise was interviewed by Matt Lauer, something like three years after his "glib" comment and the rants about depression medication. He was there to talk about his new Nazi movie.
Well, as you can guess, Cruise has decided that he might have handled the situation a little better after looking back on it. REALLY?! Thanks for that. I would hope that one of the incidents that lead to (most likely) the darkest times of your career would have been something you'd like to change using the extra-man redo of your life.
The interview is a little long winded, so if you've really only got a minute of your day to spare, have no fear - BWE is always thinking ahead.

Best Night Ever
Last night was the season finale of Survivor: Gabon and if you were anything like me, you didn't give a crap that the show is still even on air. But, out of pure curiosity, I did kind of want to know who ended up winning, regardless of the fact that I know absolutely nothing about any of the contestants. It's always fun to see someone lose. Even though, I wanted to know the victorious soul, I still didn't actually want to watch an episode. That's where Leslie Collins of Best Week Ever steps in. It's all the fun without all the boring!

KANYE = EAR BLEED
So, if you watched SNL last night, I'm going to assume you witnessed the destruction to America's eardrums that Kanye West let out of his mouth. If not, then consider yourself not-deaf and/or partially brain dead. If you are one of those, please do not watch the above and below videos. Enjoy your hearing and mental capacity.
The above clip is from his performance of Love Lockdown. I was honestly sitting in front of the TV half waiting for him to stop the song and start over and then yell at the band or one of the sound guys. But, he toughed it out. I'm assuming he wasn't listening to himself sing.
The clip below is of Heartless. Now, I know his album is all about the robot voice and Auto-Tune, but come on. I've heard cats doing it in my neighborhood that sounded better than this. I can't wait until he jumps on his blog and blames everyone but himself and then caps locks us all to death about how

Amy Says Goodbye...
As I said last night (below), it was Amy Poehler's last episode of SNL. Incredibly sad. Will SNL be able to carry on without her? Of course they will, but that doesn't stop me from shedding a little sleep encrusted tear knowing that such a beloved cast member is leaving. Good luck Amy!
So awesome that woman.
After the jump, you can watch some of the other skits. Be warned though, they aren't as good as last week. And NBC definitely did not post as many this week.
Gov. David Paterson makes an appearance on Weekend Update to talk about filling Sen. Clinton's vacant Senate seat.
Another segment from Weekend Update, Really !?!: Gov. Blagojevich.
Wedding Toast. I've been to a wedding like this!
SNL Digital Short: Cookies - from the moment they mentioned cookies, I knew what was going to happen. It's a gift. Also, I'm pretty sure that I'm "that guy" when it comes to office snacks.
Well, this was the last episode of SNL for 2008 and it was kind of lackluster. Did you notice that some of the cast were only in like one sketch? It felt like everyone was way underutilized. Also, I'm kind of bummed that they didn't put Bronx Beat up or the Lamp sketch where Andy Samberg, Hugh Laurie, and Kristin Wiig were all magical house lamps that came alive when the owners of the lamp store left. Unfortunately, they were discovered and the lamps end up taking the owners hostage. It was BIZARRE!
It was a great half of a season SNL with all your political sketches and funny Digital Shorts! Plus, you've got a few really new members to work around with now. Keep up the good work and lets hope that you can continue the solid, funny foundation you started this year into 2009!

Saturday Night Live: Hugh Laurie Edition
Hugh Laurie hosted SNL tonight and Kanye West was the musical guest.
All I have to say is MEH to the episode and GOOD GOD KANYE WEST WAS TERRIBLE. That was one of the worst musical performances I've seen on that show since Ashlee Gate. As my friend I was watching the episode with put it, "This is awful. I'm terribly disappointed." I wasn't really expecting too much from him, but that's only because I'm not really a fan of his music, but honestly, my low expectations were even to high. Not only did his singing sound constantly off tune, but he kind of looked like an idiot on the stage prancing around. Sure he's got passion, but that doesn't make you a good performer.
In other news, IT WAS AMY POEHLER'S LAST SHOW. :( Maya Rudolph came back so the two funny ladies could do one last Bronx Beat sketch which was one of the funnier parts of the evening. When Amy gave her goodbye message it was at the end of Weekend Update and she got a little choked up about. Until New York Governor Patterson blindly (literally) walked in front of the camera and ruined the moment. It was a great goodbye.
GOOD LUCK AMY POEHLER! HAVE FUN WITH ARCHIE! YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED!
Videos tomorrow morning!

After Kim makes fun of Phil and Kath about not having any friends, Kath decides to throw their first annual Christmas party but ends up in an incredibly awkward situation with a mall security guard (who Phil befriended after a "burglar" broke into their house and he was too terrified to protect Kath) and his wife. Lets just say that Kath and Phil were not really ready to swing into the party scene as much as they did. Luckily they've got each other.
Kim on the other hand decides to drive Craig even more crazy by changing her Myspace status from "married" to "single" just to see how he reacts. Kim ends up making things even worse when she convinces Craig to sue his friend Derrick after an unfortunate accident with a car.
ALSO! The return of Kim's frienemy TINA!

Kath & Kim: Friends
Season 1 | Episode 9
Can someone explain to me why people were bashing this show at the beginning of the season? It's good and you need to be watching it.
David Koechner and Wendi McLendon-Covey made guest appearances as the security guard and wife and they were pretty great. I normally get pretty tired of Champ Kind, but I thought he did a nice job with a more demure version of his regular character. On the other hand, Deputy Clementine Johnson was awesome as usual. She seems to be making her NBC Thursday comedy rounds as she was recently a concierge at a Canadian hotel on The Office.
Also, I really liked the idea of a holiday party bus! How great would that be to just drive around town getting wasted while you occasionally stopped here and there at various peoples Christmas parties? That way, you didn't have to stay in one place too long and usually those party buses have stripper poles in them, so maybe your Cranky Christina boss might make a fool of herself for you to blackmail her with pictures later.
Just a thought.

My Name is Earl: Orphan Earl

Earl sets up the scam of all scams it make it up to the incredibly giving older man that he and Joy took advantage of with a fake "poor orphans" scam back in the day. Unfortunately, the scam backfires on him when he finds out that Joy and her scamming lady friends are all in some big financial troubles back at the trailer court.

My Name is Earl: Orphan Earl
Season 4 | Episode 12
I thoroughly enjoyed this week's episode featuring scam, after scam, after scam! The amount of effort that Joy and Earl both put into their scamming tactics is pretty marvelous. I also like that the Christmas episode is entirely based around deceiving and lying to others.
We were also introduced to one of my favorite side characters on this show. Fellow trailer park resident, Tammy. She's kind of the epitome of who I would want to live with I was living in a trailer. She was awesome.
Also, if anyone can get me a copy of Randy's book, The Curious Tongue, I'd be very happy. It's a great stocking stuffer! Who doesn't want to know what cactus tastes like?!
