Tonight is the series premiere of Michael & Michael Have Issues on Comedy Central at 10:30 p.m. and because I'm kinda obsessed with both of the Michaels, I'm pretty TEAM PUMPED for this show.M&MHI is a show within a show about the issues that Michael Ian Black and Michael Showalter have during the production of their own sketch comedy show. They also kind of hate each other. Frenemies forevs!
Behind-the-scenes of the show-within-a-show, viewers will get a first hand look at issues, both big (in an attempt to broaden their appeal, the guys turn their show into a frat house spectacle) and small (the two Michaels fight over the approval of a teenage intern writing an article about them for his high school newspaper) that the two misguided stars wrestle with as they confront their own issues of insecurity and jealousy as each attempts to undermine the other.I can already hear MIB's dry as a desert rebuttals and complaints and it's got me all tingly and happy on the inside.
