How Dumb Are the Real Housewives of New Jersey??

Welp, where do we even begin? According to Popsquire via KorbiTV, the ladies of The Real Housewives of New Jersey basically signed the most asinine contract ever to appear on the BRAVO show. The contract that was obtained and reportedly signed by one of the current cast members states that in no way does BRAVO need to pay your favorite trashy classy Jersey girls anything for appearing on the show. Sure, it's a reality show, but for a vast majority of these kinds of shows, the subjects make something.

If that wasn't bad enough...
It gets worse. In addition to receiving no compensation, they have to pay Bravo 10% of “any and all gross income…unrelated to the Series” that they earn for up to four years after the last episode of the series. Yes, you read that correctly. They pay Bravo, not vice versa.
WHAT?! Who in the fake-bubbie-hell wrote up this contract!? And srsly, who thought that signing one of these things would ever read this thing and think it's a good idea?! Look at picture above.

BRAVO better watch out because I'm pretty sure if Caroline figures out that she signed the same contract without knowing that she owes the network money, there's gonna be hell to pay. Her family is thick as thieves! She's gonna get her mafia-husband to send a bunch of goons up to BRAVO HQ and rough some suits up!

Or she'll do it herself.

WAIT.

"any and all gross income....UNRELATED to the Series"???!!!!????

Is this a typo or for real?

I would understand Bravo getting money for any series-related money the Real Housewives make...but this is their families REGULAR gross income? For FOUR years after the last show? WTF!!??

I want to know what the contracts are like with the other housewives

I would be more excited about this gem of a story (great find, Matty), but I'm too busy reading the bios for all the new Top Chef contestants (posted yesterday!).

@Mary - I know right?! I had to reread the story like 5 times to make sure that I was understanding everything I was reading correctly. I'm super interested in what the other Housewives' contracts are like.

@Andrew - I really wish that I'd actually seen an episode of Top Chef because I hear awesome things about it. Maybe this season will get me!
