Saturday Night Live: January Jones Edition
Let me first say that I've never seen an episode of Mad Men - so I can't exactly compare January Jones' acting or her ability to read and memorize lines to her appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend. But I can definitely judge her lack of acting and her inability to read and memorize lines during her appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend.
Yeah, the episode as a whole was pretty weak, but cripes, I'm pretty sure that I've seen seen better attempts at comedy in a high school talent competition fundraiser for new band uniforms. What in the quadriplegic hell was wrong with her? I felt like I was watching an illiterate broom stick with a pretty face being used to sweep up the dead remains of stale jokes that occasionally started laughing because her bristles got tickled. Here's the monosnore.
Check out the rest of the sketches after the jump...
Today Show 4th Hour gets it's first run of the season with Mikaela Watkinson being out. Jenny Slate did a pretty good job as Hoda-woman, but isn't there anything else to explore other than KLG being a crazy and Hoda not sticking up for herself? Like Hoda's irrational fear of all animals that are ever brought on the show? Or Sarah Haines?!
PS - did they brown up Jenny Slate for this one?
Rear Window was kinda funny, but I'll laugh at basically any fart sketch that isn't five minutes and thirty seconds long. Oh wait, this one was. FAIL.
A Ladies Guide to Party PlanningThis was my favorite sketch of the night - because it's the way things should be. I'm talking about the parading of the kids. Gaawd you sexists.
Weekend Update: Lou Dobbs. Sigh...
Weekend Update: Kim Kardashian was pretty meh. I felt like I was watching a sketch from five years ago with Paris Hilton. Sure they're both brainless skin sacks that are famous for nothing, but they have to act a little not-so-braindeady right?
Weekend Update: Jon Bovi Some of my friends love these guys. I'm tired of them.
Around the Town I never want to see this ALMOST 7 MINUTES LONG sketch again.
Digital Short: Get Out I like when he had the camera on himself in the hallways of 30 Rock.
Dr. Jekyll Sadly disappointed with this one. I was expecting something awesome from this one.
Cloud Gazing Absolute worst.
